The Innisfree / Elman Induction

Ultra Focus - The Client Centered Deepener

This is a deepener for a client with a fear that you will control his or her mind, or who has ‘analysis paralysis’. It throws accessing a deeper state onto the client through experiencing favourite things – and a bit of confusion in the Erickson style.

Of course you have told this client that you simply can’t control his or her mind but the defensive fear is somehow ingrained and often the belief that he or she can’t be hypnotized is also present.

It is useful for a highly analytic client who watches and comments inwardly about what’s going on. In essence it uses the clients own abilities continually to bring the change.

The format is in Erickson style and it is deliberately long.

Reruns - Regression to a known event involving another person or younger self.

Sometimes a client comes to us knowing that his or her issues are coming from a specific event. It is not an event that developed over time nor is it one you have to search for in an involved regression.

This script presupposes you have studied regression. It was developed for a 1-session intervention for the situation described.

Although there are many books on Regression itself by major writers like Banyan it does not have to be made complex and complicated for every situation. Too many of us try to find the issue behind the issue when it is the one staring us in the face.
